Carnotaurus Carnegie Dinosaur

Carnotaurus is one of South America's most famous dinosaurs. Its discovery in the mid- 1980s sparked a revolution in paleontology, clueing in scientists to the strange dinosaurs that lived in the southern continents during the Cretaceous Period (the third and final period of the Age of Dinosaurs). Instantly recognized by its uniquely horned head, Carnotaurus is among the best known of the abelisaurids - a group of strange, mostly Southern Hemisphere meat-eating dinosaurs known for their distinctive, bulldog-like faces and incredibly short arms.
