Activated Carbon removes many Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOC), Pesticides and Herbicides, Chlorine, Benzene, Trihalomethane (THM) compounds, Radon, Solvents, unpleasant odor, and hundreds of other man-made chemicals found in tap water. This filter is only compatible with the original NewCell NC-10 water ionizer. (It does NOT work with the Jupiter or any other water ionizer.)
