Our wonderful Pine Woods Aloe Castile Liquid Soap from Vermont Organics is a safe and nontoxic multi purpose, multi surface, concentrate that is made with organic plant oils for your safety and for the safety of our planet. Cleans ALL water-safe surfaces. Use different dilutions for different solutions. We believe it to be the mildest castile soap formula available anywhere! The word castile is a reference to La Castilla - a region in central Spain historically significant in the history of soapmaking. In America, castile means any soap made with olive oil, often a liquid soap made from coconut and olive. Always check your ingredients - some companies add synthetic chemicals to their so called castile soap! Did you know that most foaming liquids; shampoo, laundry detergent, dish washing soap, body wash, car wash, floor cleaners etc., are basically the same stuff? We call it Lemon Joy (TM) with fluff. Most of these formulas contain sodium sodium lauryl (laureth) sulfate (SLS) and Diethanolamine (DEA), which may have harmful side effects.
