           Susan Scott, a registered nurse, has written a weekly column, Oceanwatch, for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin since 1987.  She is the author of Oceanwatcher: An Above-Water Guide to Hawaii's Marine Animals; Plants and Animals of Hawaii; and Exploring Hanauma Bay. Scott and Thomas are the authors of the highly regarded marine medical reference All Stings Considered: First Aid and Medical Treatment of Hawaii's Marine Injuries.  Craig Thomas, has practiced emergency medicine in Hawaii since 1983. He is a member of the clinical faculty at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii; president of Hawaii Emergency Physicians Associated, Inc.; and medical director for the Honolulu Fire Department and the Honolulu Police Department.
