Cacao nibs make an ideal addition to trail mixes, cookies, or sprinkled on cereal and frosted cakes. Cacao beans are grown in fruit pods which are carefully removed from the tree and opened. These beans are lightly fermented to enhance the smooth earthy flavor and then crushed to create small, bite sized nibs. Earth Circle Organics raw cacao nibs are not chocolatey in the traditional sense, which is a flavor developed from roasting the cacao. With high levels of magnesium, iron, manganese, and more, raw cacao is a great source of nutrients; just a handful can boost energy levels and leave you feeling healthy.
