Excellent quality current production of the classic D-Day cricket used by paratroopers the night of the invasion of Normandy. Remember "The Longest Day"? US Paratroopers were issued these clicking "Crickets" which were intended for use to communicate with other Airborne Troops in the total darkness and confusion of the airborne invasion immediately preceding the D-Day landings on June 6th.1944. Brass and steel construction, each marked "US", these are great nostalgia items that work perfectly. Ideal for the reinactor or for to complete a display.
