Tosaryu products are made from aromatic Japanese Hinoki cypress, which is a natural bi-product of the forest thinning process. Hinoki wood is prized in Japan for its appealing, bracing scent. The natural resin content of Hinoki prevents mold, mildew, resists bacteria and the absorption of food odors. Hinoki products should be washed by hand. Excess resin may be removed with hot water.
