    Dextrose is a simple sugar that ferments easily and quickly in bottle-conditioned beer. Use approximately 5 ounces to carbonate 5 to 6 US gallons of beer or wine. More or less can be used to adjust carbonation levels. Dextrose is the ideal choice for bottle-conditioning compared to 'table sugar', or sucrose, because of its clean flavor and fermentability. Dextrose sugar is also known as corn sugar, priming sugar and bottling sugar.
